Stop Idling!
Students researched and proposed a simple solution to decreasing air quality through the case study of vehicle idling as part of Maine’s Department of Environmental Protection Clean Air Zone Project. Through this case study, students learned the impact auto emissions have on our personal health, local air quality, and global climate change as well as the wasted money spent while vehicles idle. Students also investigated the future of transportation and held a free carwash for those that pledged to be idle-free.
